Experienced fencer? Drop by for open fencing and stay for an individual lesson with one of our expert coaches.

Whether you're a fencer looking for a club or just curious about the sport, please feel free to stop by one of our convenient Club Locations & Times around Chicago to watch a few classes and chat with the fencers and coaches. A typical night at CFC includes Group Warm-up, Footwork Conditioning, Structured Practice, Free Fencing, and the opportunity for Individual Lessons.

Learn to Fence in 2010!

Want to learn to fence? Join the Chicago Fencing Club's next adult Introduction to Fencing class beginning on Wednesday, January 13! This eight-week class will be heald in the basement of Park View Lutheran Church, 3919 N. Monticello Ave. Classes begin at 7 p.m.

Students will learn basic fencing footwork, attackes, parries, and rules for foil fencing. They will also be introduced to sabre and epee fencing. If they have an interest in these weapons they can advance into other classes.

Each class will last one hour, and then students can stay and watch the current club members bout and drill. After a few weeks, when you are comfortable with your fencing, you can cross swords with them.

The class costs $150 and includes eight weeks of instruction, an equipment use fee for the mask, jacket, and foil, and the purchase of a fencing glove and underarm protector.

CFC Fencers Demonstrate Their Sport and Meet an Olympian

On September 22, fencers from the Chicago Fencing Club did a demonstration at the J.P. Morgan/Visa 'Back the Bid' event at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago.

The fencers demonstrated foil, epee, and sabre. 

The fencers also met Emily Cook, a freestyle skiing aerials national champion, and Olympic team member.

Tournament Results Coming Soon!
